Meet the Administration
Mr. Olatunji Williams, Chief Executive Officer
With over 17 years of educational experience as a teacher, academic dean, assistant principal and principal, Mr. Olatunji Williams serves as Chief Executive Officer of PROFECTUS Learning Systems, Inc. Throughout his career, he has helped students and families in elementary, middle and high school settings, in both public and charter schools, with varying degrees of high and low socioeconomic levels. In his commitment to working with low socioeconomic students, he developed a genuine affinity for educating those often deemed underrated and underserved.
A former Assistant Principal at Miami Central Senior High School (Miami-Dade County Public Schools), Mr. Williams was instrumental in leading the school to significant academic progress, moving the annual grade rating by the Florida Department of Education from consecutive ‘F’ grades to a ‘C’ in 2010. The school was praised by President Obama as a “beacon school of transformation” in a nationally televised speech delivered during a presidential visit to the campus. The school, once known for epidemic low performance, became the first inner-city school in Miami-Dade County history to garner a school grade higher than a ‘D’.
Mr. Williams continued the spirit of innovation and transformation as Principal of Somerset Academy Eagle Campus Elementary & Middle Charter School in Jacksonville, Florida. Under his leadership, the school achieved an ‘A’ grade rating from the Florida Department of Education for demonstrating high student performance on the standardized Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Somerset Academy was the lone charter school of nine to achieve such an honor in Duval County, and maintained such status in 2012 and 2013.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
